Captivity

God has your best interest in mind. What captivity have you been in? It’s OK to have hope. It’s OK to let go. He wants to bring you out. Let Him.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord,

“and will bring you back from captivity. Jeremiah 29:11-14

I don’t know about you, but there were so many things that went wrong in my world since the pandemic that I was afraid to hope. I was afraid to act positive because I just didn’t want to get my hopes up. If something negative was going to happen, I wanted to be mentally ready for it.

I suppose If I’m being really honest, I didn’t want to come across as arrogant. It’s hard to explain and sounds crazy, but if I was too positive the devil could say…”See, I told you you shouldn’t hope, that only sets you up for disappointment.”

As I Iook forward to the year ahead, God is showing me it’s time to hope. He is showing me it’s not only OK for me to hope, but that it’s absolutely necessary to hope.

This is going to be a year of breakthroughs, endless possibilities, spiritual growth, and thriving health. How do I know? I have hope!

God has your best interest in mind. What captivity have you been in? It’s OK to have hope. It’s OK to let go. He wants to bring you out. Let Him.
