Life & Peace

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:6-8 NIV

 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8: 6-8 NKJV

      Carnal- living according to sinful human nature and desires, opposing a life led by the Spirit.

     Enmity– hatred, antagonism

     Hostile- unreceptive; aggressive; antagonistic; opposed, incompatible

     Flesh- Sinful nature, selfish gratification; a desire to please self;

What thoughts are controlling your mind?

Are your thoughts life-giving and peace-promoting?

Is your thought life pleasing self or God?

Is your life pleasing self or God?
