Praise Instead
The Psalmist asks this question 3 different times in Psalm 42 & 43… Why so sad? Why so troubled? Why so disturbed? Then a remedy is given-
1. Hope in God
2. Praise God
I must admit I’ve been disturbed & troubled lately by everything going on in our world. Today I have a choice to make, a very deliberate choice-
1. Hope in God
2. Praise God
Hoping & praising God is never disappointing. Let the praise music begin! How will you devote today?
Why are you sad, O my soul?
Why have you become troubled within me?
Hope in God, for I will yet praise Him,
my help and my God. NIV
Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. NKJV
Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God. NLT
